RECREATION PROGRAMS 2007
Tuesday, December 12, Sarah MacClennan will present a forum on Cranial Sacral Therapy for the Newbury Wellness Program. (Travis remember to contact the Shopper by Nov. 28)
“Touch a Truck” event will be held Dec. 14, 15, or 16 probable. This will be a fund raiser for the Newbury Recreation Dept. It will be held at the Bald Sunapee property. Anyone with a vehicle that would interest children and adults is encouraged to contact Travis.
BUDGET
The budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 13. The recreation budget is increased over past years, but the addition of Fishersfield and its completion is a priority for the committee.

RECREATION COORDINATOR TRAINING
Travis has attended two conferences recently. He attended a technology conference where he focused on learning to put together online forms for recreation programs with credit card payment online. He also attended a Local Government Center Conference that concentrated on NH town government.
IN THE WORKS
The town is applying for a grant from the state of NH for trail maintenance at Fishersfield. This could be a great benefit to recreation here in Newbury.
Travis is exploring a Wellness Walk along the trails at Fishersfield , a series of stations trailside for fitness buffs.
In January there is the possibility of three Colby Sawyer students serving as interns in the recreation department here in Newbury.
NEXT MEETING: Monday, December 17 at 7 PM is proposed.
