NEWBURY RECREATION COMMITTEE REPORT

PRESENT:
Peter Newbern, Jane Pratt, Marilyn Hill, Gail Bostic, Bob Morrill
MINUTES:
The minutes of the July 11 and Aug. 8 meeting were accepted as printed.
FISHER CATS BASEBALL OUTING:
The trip to the Fisher Cats game on Aug. 22 was a good time for the few participants. The event was a loss financially. Some of the extra tickets purchased by the committee were sold that evening at the ball park for cost. The total loss was $205.75.
RECREATION SURVEY:
Marilyn had only 30 or so surveys returned as of Aug. 29. Three of the committee members did not receive surveys. Marilyn was going to contact Accumail about delivery difficulties. More info to follow.
FALL EVENT:
On Sept. 30 the Newbury Recreation Committee will host a fall event from 9-2. A farmers’ market will be held at the Bald Sunapee property starting at 9 AM. At 10 AM other events and activities will begin. Planned are a flea market, food tables, craft tables, and games for the younger set. The committee is looking for volunteers for some of the activities. If interested, please contact Marilyn at the town office.
NEXT MEETING:
The next meeting of the Newbury Recreation Committee will be Monday, Sept. 18 at 7:00 PM.
