SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
OF MARCH 8 , 2007

Town Personnel: Dennis Pavlicek, Town Administrator
Public: Henry Thomas, Bob Messenger, Michel and Bob Steward, Mark Moran, Paul Groulx, Dan Wolf, Ken Holmes, Dave & Jennifer Smith, Mike Mennino, Patrick Vonkannewurff
The meeting convened at 8 a.m.
Chairman Powell noted this special meeting had been called at the request of Fire Chief Henry Thomas.
Thomas proposed that Article 12 on the 2007 Warrant be tabled. This article calls for the appointment of the Newbury Fire Chief by the Board of Selectmen, who would also appoint firefighters upon the recommendation of the Fire Chief.
After a brief discussion, a motion was made to table Article 12. The motion was seconded and passed with a 2 to 0 vote by the Board of Selectmen.
There was no additional business.
MEETING ADJOURNED at 8:10 a.m.
