NEWBURY BOARD OF SELECTMEN
MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 MEETING

Selectmen:  James Powell and Richard Wright
Town Personnel:  Dennis Pavlicek, Town Administrator; Donna Long, Administrative Assistant
Public:  None

The meeting convened at 6:30 p.m.   

PUBLIC INPUT:  None
APPOINTMENTS:  None
NEW BUSINESS:
        Pavlicek read a letter from Fish and Game stating that two subsurface geotechnical borings in Lake Sunapee will take place on September 22, 2008 for investigation purposes.
        Pavlicek read a review of a planning board decision in regard to The Fells, Map/Lot #018-232-347, on August 19, 2008in which the final site plan review was approved with conditions.
        Pavlicek read a bridge report for Sutton Road.
        There was some discussion on the 2009 Budget Committee.  The subject will be revisited at the next Selectmen’s meeting.
        Pavlicek stated that the Newbury Town Office sign is rotted and falling apart.  The Selectmen asked Pavlicek to get some quotes for a new sign.
        There was a brief discussion regarding the Sidewalk Project.  Pavlicek will get more information regarding the grant offered by the state and will report back at the next meeting.
 REGULAR BUSINESS:
PAYROLL & ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Week ending September 13, 2008 were approved and signed.
    MINUTES:  Minutes of September 8, 2008 were approved to file.
    ABATEMENTS/REFUNDS/EXEMPTIONS:  None
MEETING ADJOURNED at 7:00 p.m.

NEXT REGULAR MEETING: Monday, September 29, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Office.
