MINUTES OF OCTOBER 19, 2009 MEETING

The meeting convened at 6:30 p.m.

NEW BUSINESS:
Pavlicek showed the Selectmen a map of the proposed location for the senior citizen housing project.
A letter to the Sutton Board of Selectmen regarding the Angel Hawk subdivision was signed.
Pavlicek would like to schedule another Wood Chuck Day for November 7, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
The Board of Selectmen agreed to let Family Services put up the annual Giving Tree in the Newbury town office lobby.
The next Green Up Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.
Pavlicek distributed a quotation to add weathered accent stones to the parking lot. Wright said he would like to wait for this project.
A motion was made by Wright and seconded by Budd to make a town policy that no herbicides may be used under any circumstances on town property. The vote was unanimous.
REGULAR BUSINESS:
PAYROLL & ACCOUNTS PAYABLE: Week ending October 17, 2009 were approved and signed.
MINUTES: Minutes of October 5, 2009 were approved to file.
LAND USE CHANGE TAX: A land use change tax was approved for Robert and Inge
Lee, Tax Map # 025-176-403.

ABATEMENT: Five abatements were approved and signed. Town of Newbury, Tax/Map
# 020-047-355 for $24; David Sawyer Family Trust Map/Lot #16A-137-064 in the amount of
$292; Church Family Revocable Trust Map/Lot #16A-135-049 in the amount of $709; 346
Bowles LLC Tax/Map # 016-307-273 in the amount of $1,045.70 and Timothy and Janet Cook,
Tax/Map # 016-296-239 in the amount of $313.
