NEW BUSINESS:
The Board of Selectmen met with several members of the surrounding communities as well as DOT Commissioner George Campbell. The discussion was regarding the proposed Wild Goose Boat Launch site by the NH Fish and Game Department. Wright mentioned that many regulations were going to be broken by the state that were set by the state to prepare this site. The main concern of the town is the traffic safety. The Board of Selectmen stated that this boat launch will create a safety hazard. They said that the state beach boat launch would be a more viable solution. Thomas said that he believes that this site is an accident waiting to happen. Lee said there already are a large number of accidents in that area. Campbell asked Lee to get
him data on the traffic reports for that area. He asked the town managers from the surrounding communities how this would effect them. Levine and Nashwaty both explained that it would increase their taxes if their emergency personnel needed to be called in for assistance in traffic accidents. A local school bus driver also stated that he gets passed many tiems on that section of Route 103.
After much discussion the group traveled to the proposed site and looked at the oncoming traffic pattern as well as the road.
