MINUTES OF December 3, 2009 MEETING

The meeting convened at 11:00 a.m.

NEW BUSINESS:
The Board of Selectmen met with the engineers from Stantec to discuss the bids that were given for the Blodgett Wastewater Treatment Plant project. Powell asked Stantec the reasoning for the increase in monies needed. Calabro explained that although the costs have gone up, so has the monies given to the town from the ARRA funds, so that the cost to the taxpayers to the Blodgett area is the same. Calabro said that this project will need to be done within the next five years, and this is the time to do it as there is federal monies available to offset the cost for the residents.
Wright made a motion to call a special town meeting. Budd seconded the motion. All were in favor. A special town meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Posting will be placed around town, on the website and in the Concord Monitor and Intertown Record.
