Fireworks Permits are available on line from Newbury Fire Rescue. Requests should be submitted 48 hours prior to the event.

If you have previously been issued a fireworks permit in Newbury, the renewal process is easy. Simply fill out the on-line permit request form: and a permit for the date requested will be emailed to you.

If you have not received a permit in the past, an inspection of the fireworks display site will be required. ...Simply complete the on-line form and you will be contacted to schedule the inspection appointment. Once the inspection is completed and the application approved, the permit will be emailed to you.

The launching area for the discharge or display of fireworks shall be a minimum of One Hundred (100) feet from the property line and any structures. The property must be in compliance with the Newbury Street Numbering Ordinance..Fireworks may be restricted in certain areas of Newbury.Applicant must be the property owner or have written permission form the property owner. Permits will not be issued in conditions of high fire danger. Permits may be canceled by the fire chief or designee because of weather or other changes in conditions.The Town of Newbury Noise ordinance prohibits the discharge of fireworks after 10:00 PM.
