Meeting convened at the Newbury Highway Garage at 9 am.

Deb Prussman brought up the signs for the Vet’s Hall.  Printed out a sign that was on Staples & will laminate them to hang up.  Rosie also suggested the reflective tape.

Wayne mentioned the condition of the dock.  There are spots that are heaving up & the rug needs to be replaced.  Rosie will mention to Dennis & possible have Churchill & Mark walk the dock.  The idea of having Primex inspect the dock was discussed. At some point the Town will have a public hearing on the dock expansion project.

The playground should be inspected by Primex also.  Wayne asked if we should wait until the chips are spread to schedule the inspection.  Roise didn’t think that would be necessary

The drug testing policy was mentioned.  Cal mentioned that the Recreation staff that operate vehicles & equipment should be tested.

When an employee uses their own vehicle for Town business, if they should get in an accident Primex under most circumstances will cover the deductible.

Rosie discussed the details of Chicken Farmer Race on May 18th.  The course will be slightly longer so it will be a certified.  This year will have wheelchair participants.  The coverage needed by other departments would be the same as last year.

Fencing on Route 103A will be removed.  There is a hole by the fence.

Active Shooter training for the Town Office Staff mentioned.  Josh Fisher from Newbury Police will do the training.  Lea would also like Josh to do training at the Library.  The front door of the Children’s room was brought up again.  The consensus was to discuss with the Library Trustees the possibility of making that an emergency exit.  Lea was asking if the alarm companies were contacted about notifying the Library & Town Office if there is an incident in one of the buildings could the other building be notified.  That would be something that Dennis will have set up.

Discussion about the RSA’s for JLMC.  Wayne was going to check with Primex to see what the guidelines are for enforcement of JLMC concerns.

Tate wanted clarification on when an employee is injured & how much authority he has to encourage the employee to seek medical attention.

There have been 2 traffic accidents with no injury & 1 workers comp with medical attention.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 am

Next meeting June 12th at the Newbury Public Library.
