Meeting convened at the Newbury Fire Station at 9 am.

The minutes from the meeting of June 12, 2019 were read & approved.

Lea Spoke to Paul Francoeur about replacing the door in the Children’s room.  He is not interested in the job & suggested talking to Hank.  The sills on the windows also need to be replaced.  Hank with take a look at both projects with Lea.

The playground equipment at Fishersfields still needs to be addressed.  Wayne will contact Primex to get a copy of the report.  According to Rosie the slide needs to be taken down & the rest needs repairs.  When the new Recreation Direction is hired will discuss the issue with them.

The Town Hall Safety Report that Officer Josh Fisher presented was turned in to the Selectboard.  Debi met with Capital Alarm about installing cameras in the Police Department & Town Office.  They will be emailing estimates for both buildings.  Pam Bryk is working with Gatekeeper Locksmith about installing new locks at Town Office. She is also trying to keep from scheduling meetings in the back room.  Lea is working with the Library Trustees on security at the Library.  The buildings in South Newbury were discussed for possible meeting spaces if needed.

Wayne inquired about the dock expansion.  If it is on hold the left side of the dock needs attention.  The dock is sagging.  The repairs were done at Blodgetts dock.

Vicki said she would be around the following day to update the first aid kits.  Having small kits in the Highway Trucks would be a good idea.  The Highway Department needs a full kit. Once she has looked at them she will make a list of what is needed.

There was a discussion about having all employees take a first aid course.  The department heads will set up classes for employees that need it.

No accidents since the last meeting.

Meeting was adjourned at 10:10.

Next meeting on October 9th at the Newbury Police Department.
