Adopted – The Dog Ordinance was adopted on March 10, 1970. The current revision was adopted by the Selectboard on September 19, 2022 and is effective immediately. This ordinance amends and replaces all prior and existing versions of the Dog Ordinance.
Authority – This Ordinance is adopted by the Town of Newbury pursuant to the authority in NH RSA 466:39.
- Leash Regulations
- It shall be unlawful for any dog to be unleashed while on any Town property.
- Penalties
- Whoever owns a dog that is found unleashed on Town property shall be subject to a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense.
- Amendment
- This Ordinance may be amended by the Selectboard after a Public Hearing.
