Members Present: Katheryn Holmes, Chair; John Magee, Bob Stewart, Members.

 

Ms. Holmes called the meeting to order at 7:23 p.m.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE:

 

Minutes

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of July 13, 2021. Corrections were made. Mr. Magee made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of August 3, 2021. Corrections were made. Ms. Holmes made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of August 10, 2021. Corrections were made. Mr. Stewart made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Magee seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of August 24, 2021. Corrections were made. Mr. Stewart made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Magee seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of September 14, 2021. Corrections were made. Mr. Magee made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

The Commission reviewed the minutes of October 12, 2021. Corrections were made. Mr. Stewart made a motion to accept the minutes with proposed corrections. Mr. Magee seconded the motion. All were in favor.

 

INTENT TO CUT – 0

 

TREE APPLICATIONS IN PROTECTED SHORELAND:

  • Michie – Active – Mr. Stewart will take a look at this property. Mr. Magee said he would like to join Mr. Stewart.
  • Scannell – a dead tree, application supplied at the Selectboard Meeting. Approved.
  • Jane & Larry Briggs – 44 Lake Avenue - Blodgett’s. Approved.
  • John McCarthy – 37 Shore Drive – Active – Mr. Stewart and Mr. Magee will take a look at this property.
  • Letter from Peter Blakeman – trees T10 and T13 will not be removed.

 

DES –

  • Wetland PBN & Nonsite Specific Permit 2021-03297 – Matthew & Stacey Ovanes – 368 Bowles Road
  • Shoreland Impact Permit 2021-02083 – Lake Avenue Realty – 10 Sunlite Lane

 

COMMUNICATIONS –

  • Flash on the Beacon
  • State warns against eating PFAS - contaminated fish in five southern NH lakes.
  • Cynobacteria warning in our lakes (from NH Lakes)
  • Bubbler information post in the Shopper (LSPA) – Ms. Holmes reported that the LSPA put a post in the Shopper regarding bubbler information. Ms. Holmes wants to include this in our newsletter as well.

 

OLD BUSINESS –  

 

Easement Update

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Letter from George Embley – Mr. Embley will come to a future NCC meeting to discuss the Warner watershed.

 

OTHER:

 

  • Mr. Stewart made a suggestion for a new Conservation Commission member. He would like to invite Alden Beauchemin to the next Commission meeting.
  • The newsletter will be created in the beginning of the new year.

 

Mr. Stewart made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Magee seconded the motion. The meeting adjourned at 9:11 p.m.
