TREE APPLICATION PRESENTATION – 7:30 p.m.

A presentation was made to explain what trees the owners would like to take down. Ms. Tanya McIntire said there is no runoff on this property. She said there will be more drainage problems if the cottage is torn down and another put in.

Mr. Larry Briggs said he feels that there are a lot of trees that are not dead that they propose to take down. He does not understand the rationale to take down some of the trees.

Ms. Susan Rogers is concerned about the well head. She thought if there is an existing well head, it would need to be redone. A well cover will be put over the well head. Ms. Rogers said another concern is the culvert on Washington Street with a ditch around the corner and there is no provision to deal with the water in this ditch. She wants to know where the flow of the water will go. The ditch will not be blocked off.

Ms. McIntire would like the Commission to recommend to the Selectboard to deny this application.

Discussion ensued after the public left.

Mr. Magee asked what the next steps would be. Mr. Stewart said there needs to be a planting plan. Ms. Holmes said she is going to see Mr. John Abbott and look at the building permit. She wants to make sure they have a planting plan before the permit is approved. Mr. Stewart said the question is the two trees they want to take down by Lake Ave. Mr. Stewart thinks we should be able to have some oversight over this project.

Ms. Holmes recommended the property owner to create a planting plan and have the plan presented to the Conservation Commission with follow up after the project is completed.

The Commissioners would like to order 5 State Statutes books from the Town. Ms. Long will contact the Town Administrator regarding placing this order.
