PRESENTATION:

Mr. Rhodes said the Town of Sunapee is looking at regulating septic systems to check for run off into Lake Sunapee. LSPA will be getting background information to work toward creating an ordinance on this. Moultonborough tried to do this, but it didn’t go to vote. Rye also looked into it. Chesterfield created an ordinance for residents with 250 ft. from the shoreland to have their septic systems inspected and pumped. Sunapee is modeling after Chesterfield, however, Sunapee wants this to happen town wide. There is interest from New London as well, but LSPA has not heard from Newbury yet. Discussion ensued.
