Seasonal Outside Burning Permits are Available from the State of New Hampshire

If you have a seasonal Category I or Category II outside burning permit for your fireplace or fire pit, please keep in mind that the 2023 seasonal jug permits expire at the end of the year. Seasonal permits for 2024 can be requested and printed on your computer at the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands Online Permit Website.
Category III brush burning permits are available from the local Forest Fire Warden, Dave Smith (603)938-5925. These permits are required for all outside burning, except when the ground is completely covered with snow.
