JOINT LOSS MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

MINUTES OF DECEMBER 5, 2018

Members Present: Debi Lacombe, Wayne Whitford, Cal Prussman, Tate Sweetbrown, Lea McBain, Deb Prussman, & Rosie Johnson.  Absent:  Henry Thomas & Bradley Wheeler

Meeting convened at the at 9 am at the Fire Station.

The minutes of October 10, 2018 were read & approved with one correction.

Cal mentioned an issue concerning with 2 fire department members that he witnesses coming into the fire station.

Wayne asked about the ice eater cord in the harbor being installed in conduit.  Rosie stated she had spoken with Dennis and he didn’t feel that it was an issue as it isn’t a high traffic area.  Wayne felt he should have input on the issue especially with the new dock.  There is the same issue in Blodgetts.  The new ladder at the dock needs to be looked at.  There are still the 2 piles of rocks in the water that haven gotten complaints about.

The threshold at the Vet’s Hall has caused a couple of people to trip.  The suggestion was made to put reflective tape on it so it can be more noticeable.

The water treatment system has been installed.  Need to check with Dennis to see if he is planning on have further testing done.  Wayne mentioned that he could do the testing with the State.

Tate mentioned the fire boat that is now being stored at the Highway Department.  He wanted to bring attention to the fact that there is only one cable holding it on the trailer.  He felt that there was a good chance that it could fall off when it is moved again.

Since the last meeting there has been one Workers Comp & 2 auto accidents.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 am

Next meeting is February 13, 2019-Location to be determined.
