Minutes:

The Board reviewed the minutes of November 17, 2020. Corrections were made.

Mr. Smith made a motion to accept the minutes. Mr. Wright seconded the motion. All were in favor.

Presentation – Ms. Freeman gave an update on the Newbury Housing Committee. She explained there has been three meetings and the Committee has looked at bylaws and ordinances in Newbury. The Committee has come to the conclusion that there are very little rental properties in town and not a lot of variety. A Needs Assessment was created, and Consultant Steve Whitman will help navigate as the Committee decides what they want in town. There will be another meeting on Wednesday.

Ms. Freeman explained that Mr. Whitman has prepared a report with housing approaches that can enhance diversity. He has ideas from other communities that we may be able to use.

There will also be a meeting in January which will be open to the public and will hopefully open up discussion as to what has been done so far.

Mr. Healey asked how the community will get the message for the public meeting. Ms. Freeman said she will send it to the administrative assistant and have it printed in the Intertown Record, the Kearsarge Shopper and will also have it posted in public places in town.

Mr. Healey made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Smith seconded the motion.  All in favor.

The meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
