4. Old / Unfinished Business/ Review action status.

Old Home Day Debrief:

What went well. Good experience; lots of interest.  Energy quiz very successful.  Andrew’s daughter was a great help!  Old Home Day represents the very best of our committee including our shortcomings.  Everyone stepped up and then some.  It came together really well; good energy and goodwill.

       Community response

Lessons learned  Good to have an official sign or banner and bring rocks/paperweights.  Try to anticipate direction crowd will come from.  Find ways to build on and harness our great energy and increase our organization and structure.  Plan with OHD organizers earlier.  Try to locate the electric vehicle closer to the committee table.  Raffle drew people; when we do the next raffle be sure to review with Bd of Selectmen first and get approval.   Lots of interest in composting and EVs from kids; we should be sure to communicate well to kids as well in future events.  Consider worm farm exhibit at a future event.

Finances  Submit receipts to Dennis.  Town budget committee starts planning for next year in October (goes thru January).  Newbury Energy needs to bring budget information to the town budget committee.   Use our August meeting for budget planning; need to know what we plan to do next year to know what our budget needs are.

5. New Business
